15. The 2300 Day Prophecy

"Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed." Daniel 8:14.

2300 days. The longest time prophecy in all the Bible. Yet when does it begin? And what does it mean for the sanctuary to be cleansed?

Before we can answer these questions, we must first understand what the sanctuary is, where it's located, and why it's significant. Further, we must comprehend the role of the high priest who officiates in the sanctuary service.

All this and more is discussed in Episode 15a--the first part in a complex study of the 2300 day prophecy.

In Part B, aside from finding out when the 2300 prophetic days commence and end, we take a close look at the 70 weeks that form the first portion of the prophecy. Towards the end, our attention shifts to why this prophecy is so important, and the impact that it had on the Christian world when it first came to light.
